Diagnosed with juvenile myositis in 2010 at the age of seven, Maddy has grown up with Cure JM as a central part of her life, with her family deeply engaged in the New York Chapter, Walk, and Holiday Challenge. “Cure JM has given me lifelong connections and a community that understands the challenges of JM,” says Maddy. “As Chair, I’m excited to help teens and young adults build those same connections while advancing Cure JM’s work.”
Maddy earned a degree in Community Health with a minor in Nutrition Science from Hofstra University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Physical Therapy. She is also a SoulCycle instructor, using her platform to inspire others while raising awareness and support for Cure JM.
