Grandparent GEMS are grandparents who are part of Cure JM’s GEMS monthly giving community.

Grandparents have long been the bedrock of support for children and families living with Juvenile Myositis. From the earliest days of Cure JM, grandparents have stepped in with steady encouragement, practical help, and faithful generosity.

When grandparents choose to give monthly, we recognize them as Grandparent GEMS — not as a separate program, but as a way of honoring the foundational role grandparents have always played in sustaining this community.

By Giving Every Month, Grandparent GEMS help ensure families are supported not just during campaigns or moments of urgency, but consistently throughout the year.

How Grandparent GEMS Fit with Other Giving

Many grandparents support Cure JM in different ways throughout the year, including participation in events, campaigns, or one‑time appeals.

Grandparent GEMS are different.

This program is about steady, ongoing support. It allows grandparents to contribute in a manageable way that complements, rather than replaces, other forms of giving.

All Grandparent GEMS are part of Cure JM’s monthly giving community. The Grandparent GEMS designation simply recognizes grandparents who choose to give monthly and allows us to steward that commitment thoughtfully.
