Director and Chair of the Grandparent Council

Randy Putt

Email:

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

When Randy’s granddaughter Brynn was diagnosed with JDM in 2012, he decided to volunteer with Cure JM because funding research is important to him.

Since 2013, Randy has participated annually in Cure JM’s Giving Tuesday Holiday Challenge, raising over $75,000. In addition to fundraising, Randy enjoys attending Cure JM events, National Conferences, and online Town Halls.

Randy has served as a long-time leader on Cure JM’s National Leadership Council, and in 2021, Randy was appointed the Chair of the Grandparent Council. In 2021, Randy’s leadership led the charge to grow Cure JM grandparent involvement in the Giving Tuesday Holiday Challenge. He looks forward to working with all the grandparents of children and young adults living with JM and increasing the engagement of those who would like to get involved.

Randy is retired from his pharmaceutical career where he was a drug discovery & development chemist, quality assurance professional, and Project Manager.

Randy and his wife Jenny live in Indiana and have four grown children and fourteen grandchildren. In their free time, Randy and Jenny like to garden, work on home projects, watch Purdue basketball, and spend time with their children and grandchildren. Randy also enjoys riding his bike to stay in shape.
