Norah Sangid brings a can-do approach and a remarkable sense of positive energy to everything she does. She became an active Cure JM leader soon after her daughter Mila was diagnosed in 2018 at Lurie Children’s Hospital at the age of two, and she has been a steady source of momentum ever since.
Professionally, Norah serves at Amazon Web Services as a Strategic Business Development and Operations leader. In her role as Senior Program Manager focused on generative AI, she has helped launch new products, improve workflows, and lead initiatives that drive meaningful change across AWS. She is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she received her masters in 2009.
Within Cure JM, Norah has taken on several leadership roles. After moving from Chicago to Michigan, she did not have a local chapter to connect with, so she stepped forward to lead in new ways. She became a key member of the Holiday Challenge Committee, providing strategic guidance and raising $20,000 annually. Her energy and steady commitment have made her an important part of this campaign.
In 2025, Norah accepted the role of second vice chair of the National Leadership Council, with plans to transition to vice chair in 2026. Due to recent health challenges within other NLC families, we are now recommending that her transition to chair begin sooner. Her enthusiasm, reliability, and leadership presence make her exceptionally well prepared for this role.
