James Tealy has joined the Cure JM staff to support Cure JM’s Family and Clinician Education Programs. In this role, James leads the Cure JM’s Clinical Care Network and clinician and family education programs, including our National Family Conference, Town Halls, Medical Summits, and local Family Days held in partnership with Cure JM Chapters and Children’s Hospitals across the country.
James also serves on Cure JM’s National Leadership Council and is the chair of the Nashville Walk Strong event.
“When our daughter Lucy was diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis in 2022, we were terrified,” shares Tealy. “We soon found the Cure JM community and have been so encouraged by their work to advance treatment options and support families battling this disease.”
Before pivoting into this role with Cure JM, Tealy was a music industry executive, an award-winning songwriter, and educator. Tealy’s catalog of songs includes popular Christian worship songs, chart-topping radio singles and cuts on Grammy and Dove Award-winning gold and platinum selling albums from artists like Lauren Daigle, Kari Jobe, Josh Wilson, Gold City and more than 150 others. Tealy currently resides in Tennessee with his wife Jenny and step-daughters Annie and Lucy.
