Dr. Albert Q. Chow is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics — Rheumatology Division at Loma Linda University Children’s Health.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2013 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. Dr. Chow is deeply involved in clinical research: his recent studies include investigating the microbiome in juvenile dermatomyositis and evaluating long-term outcomes in juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
In his role at Loma Linda, Dr. Chow provides compassionate care to children with autoimmune and rheumatic conditions and also serves on several national professional committees. He was honored as a “Cure JM Hero” for his engagement in regional family outreach.
His clinical and research special interests include lupus nephritis, juvenile dermatomyositis, and arthritic conditions, with an emphasis on integrating cutting-edge therapies and fostering patient- and family-centered care.
